Bayswater is committed to proactively safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all individuals who interact with the organisation. This includes students of all ages, and we recognise that some minors are enrolled on adult courses. A minor student is defined as follows: in the UK, France, South Africa, and Canada (excluding Vancouver), a person who is 17 years old or younger; in Vancouver, a person who is 18 years old or younger.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of minor students, Bayswater has implemented robust supervision and accountability measures. These include daily sign-in/out procedures and class registers. These systems enable prompt action if a student is unaccounted for and are supported by relevant policies such as the Missing Student and Supervision Policies.
While attendance is important for all students, we take additional steps for minors. Any absence or lateness, whether related to classes, activities, or accommodation is followed up immediately until we are satisfied that the student is safe.

The social programme at Bayswater Leeds provides opportunities to explore the city, connect with others, and experience a variety of cultural and leisure activities. Highlights include visits to local landmarks, sports, and creative events. Details and sign-ups are available through the my.bayswater portal.
