We're Opening Doors to Careers in the Luxury Hotel Sector

Our newly launched Work Placement Programme combines essential academic learning with hands-on experience. We’ve partnered with renowned hotels like Raffles, Sofitel, and The Savoy across the UK and Canada to offer an experience that goes beyond the classroom.

Over the course of the programme, students spend eight weeks studying Language or Professional Courses before stepping into a 24-week paid work placement. This blend of education and hands-on experience provides the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the fast-paced world of luxury hospitality.

This exciting opportunity is currently available for students holding a Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) visa for the UK and a Working Holiday Visa for Canada, and we’re extending this programme to Canada in 2025.

This programme really made a difference for me. I learned how to put together a standout CV and picked up crucial interview skills. My confidence in speaking improved, and I also got better at listening and speaking English.

James Herbertson, Co-Founder of Bayswater, explains, “We’re addressing a critical skills gap by connecting talented students with top hospitality brands. It’s a chance to gain invaluable experience and potentially secure a long-term role in the industry.”

Kimberleigh Bull, Human Resources Manager at Brown’s Hotel London, one of our partners, adds, “We’re excited to welcome Bayswater students who are passionate about starting their careers in luxury hospitality. We look forward to working with these ambitious individuals as they begin their professional journeys.”

Hands-on experience in a top luxury hotel allowed me to apply what I learned in class and gain a deeper understanding of the industry. I’ve also started applying to several hotels in the UK.

This Work Placement Programme for luxury hotels reflects our commitment to expanding educational opportunities and addressing industry skills gaps. By bridging these gaps, we aim to support the development of future professionals who are well-prepared for the global workforce.

This programme helped me a lot with interview preparation and understanding cultural differences. It’s given me more confidence and clarity about my future goals.
